It is not the website of a decking company. What we collect
When you submit a quote request, we collect the details you provide, which may include your name, contact details, postcode, the service you are interested in and information about the work.
What we do with it
We use your details to handle your enquiry and pass it to one independent local decking contractor covering your area so they can contact you about the quote. We do not pass the enquiry to competing companies or add you to a marketing list.
Who processes your data
Our quote form and enquiry handling run on GoHighLevel, a customer-management platform that processes information on our behalf. The contractor who receives your enquiry becomes an independent controller of your details for the purpose of responding to your request and providing a quote. Emails confirming your enquiry may come from our mail domain mailer.quoteupdate.co.uk.
Calls
If you call us, calls may be answered by an automated assistant and may be recorded for quality and enquiry-handling purposes. You will be told at the start of the call.
Analytics and cookies
We use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics to understand aggregate site usage, such as pages viewed and buttons tapped. This collects no personal data and sets no cookies. The quote form may use technical protection to prevent abuse.
Location pages include an optional embedded Google map, which loads only when clicked. When it loads, Google receives the request and Google's privacy policy applies to it.
How long we keep data
We keep enquiry details for up to 12 months so we can manage the request and resolve any issues, then delete them unless we need to retain them for a legal reason.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase and restrict processing of your personal data, and to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). To exercise your rights in relation to data held by us, use our contact form or call us on 01642 548 530. For data held by the contractor after they respond to you, contact that contractor directly.

If how we handle data changes, this policy will be updated and the date above will change.
